Lockdown 2.0 Day 8: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) allows to open education book shops

Lockdown 2.0 Day 8: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) allows to open education book shops: Home Ministry has allowed the opening of education book shops in lockdown 2.0. On April 21, Day 8 of Lockdown 2.0 the Centre issued fresh guidelines to all the states and Union Territories under which it has permitted these activities.

As per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the government has exempted additional agricultural and forestry items, shops of educational books for students and shops of electric fans from lockdown restrictions to fight COVID19 (Coronavirus) outbreaks.

However, the relaxations under the above-mentioned items would not be applicable to areas which have been declared hotspots or containment zones and these activities would not be permitted in these zones.MHA in its guidelines issued on April 15 as per the restrictions in the lockdown, shut down all educational institution to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among student and the general public.

It permitted education establishments including coaching centres to maintain the academic schedule through online teaching during the lockdown 2.0.
